Through networking, corporate advice, mentorship, individualized support, high-level business development and growth strategy training, and access to finance, the AWIEF Growth Accelerator in Nigeria aims to improve the preparedness of female entrepreneurs to obtain funding opportunities and scale up their ventures.
Although this program is intended for firms across several sectors, businesses that rely on technology or are supported by it and operate in catalytic sectors including agriculture, health, education, the creative industry, finance, renewable energy, logistics, and climate-smart solutions will be given preference.
Through their relationship with Victoria’s Secret, AWIEF will be able to offer a seven-month investment preparedness program in 2024 to twenty (20) women who are the founders or leaders of creative, growth-stage firms situated in Nigeria.
Eligibility criteria
To qualify for selection, businesses must meet the following criteria:
Ownership: Women-owned (>51%).
OR
Leadership: Women-led at C-Suite or equivalent level.
OR
Product or service specifically or disproportionately benefits women.
Additionally, businesses must be:
● Based and operating in Nigeria.
● Highly innovative and scalable ventures.
● In post-revenue stage.
● In operation for not less than three years.
● Owned or led by ambitious and committed women entrepreneurs.
● Seeking investment or funding to scale and expand.
