Interns in software engineering (SWEs) collaborate with peers to develop creative software solutions and address challenges. You give program managers technical advice while they take user wants and product requirements into consideration since you are passionate about customers and high-quality products.
Additionally, you must show that you have the capacity to pick up and apply pertinent new techniques, procedures, tools, and technologies to use in your solutions. You are committed to designing, developing, and testing next-generation software as a SWE, which will enable every individual and organization on the planet to reach greater heights.
Interns at Microsoft collaborate with teams worldwide on real-world projects while having fun in the process. Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
- Must have at least one additional quarter/semester of school remaining following the completion of the internship.
- One year of programming experience in an object-oriented language.
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
Responsibilities
- Applies engineering principles to solve complex problems through sound and creative engineering.
- Quickly learns new engineering methods and incorporates them into his or her work processes.
- Seeks feedback and applies internal or industry best practices to improve his or her technical solutions.
