The cutting-edge tech career accelerator, ALX Africa, is excited to announce that 30,000 new students from all around Africa have signed up for its Artificial Intelligence Career Essentials (AiCE) program. This noteworthy accomplishment highlights ALX’s dedication to developing a new breed of African leaders with cutting-edge AI technology abilities.
The event’s host, Gavin Peter, VP of Community and Culture at ALX, stressed the significance of “Karibu,” which translates to “Welcome” in Swahili, in his welcoming speech. He said, “It is our usual ritual to start our ALX courses.” We want our students to experience a sense of belonging and acceptance.
We all fit in and get to know one another at ALX. In order for young Africans to advance in their professions and have an effect, we want to upskill and launch them.
Participants in ALX’s AiCE program learn about Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools that are vital to their professional activity. Students will get an understanding of the swift progress of artificial intelligence (AI) and its growing significance in several sectors over a six-week program. With this course, ALX assumes the duty of providing African talent with the know-how required to fully realize the potential of artificial intelligence.
Over five thousand of the thirty thousand learners that were onboarded from Africa—Nigeria, Ethiopia, Ghana, Egypt, Morocco, South Africa, Rwanda, and Kenya—came from this country.
This noteworthy accomplishment is evidence of ALX Nigeria’s commitment and tenacity. A robust and active community, meaningful interactions, and observable evidence of both professional and personal development are just a few of the numerous indicators of its achievement.
Ruby Igwe, the Country General Manager of ALX, shared her excitement over this noteworthy accomplishment by saying, “We are incredibly proud to welcome 30,000 new learners to our AI program.”
